We're leaving today to visit our family in Washington. Emily is really, really excited about it. She drew a picture of her going down their slide this morning, and she woke me up this morning by shouting in our room, "DADDY IT'S TIME TO GO TO WASHINGTON!!"

Emily was so excited in fact, that she wanted to give Grandma a present.. so she asked Tara, "Hey mom can I give Grandma Carpenter a pair of your shoes?" Tara then asked Em if maybe she'd like to give Grandma a pair of her own shoes, to which Emily indicated she'd much rather give away Tara's shoes.
