Lately, Emily has had a hard time staying in bed. Usually after we put her down she will come out and tell us she needs to use the bathroom, get a drink, or something like that. A couple of weeks ago, we started hearing her playing with her toys in her room. We even caught her once in the hall outside her room having a mock tea party with a stuffed alligator and a ducky.

So last week, we could hear her playing down the hall from where we were. We called out and told her to go to bed, but apparently she didn't get the message. So Tara and I walked towards her room, when all of a sudden she burst from the bathroom and bolted into her room, stuffed bear in hand, as fast as she could. She was running so fast.. she didn't even look back! It was really kind of hilarious. We think she heard us coming down the hall, panicked, and then made her move!

..so now we're tying her in her bed every night, and so far it has worked just great!
