Last night we were having dinner with my parents and grandparents, and my mom was asking Emily about what she did in Washington. Emily told her about playing in the big yard, building blocks with Roger & Carol, playing dress-up, going on a car ride to Miner's for burgers, and finally having a dance party with Tara & Carol.

Then, when my mom asked Emily what her favorite part was about the trip, Emily said without any hesitation, "LEAVING TO GO TO SCHOOL!!" Emily started going to a new pre-school up by the University of Utah back in August, and she absolutely loves it. Sometimes when Tara picks her up, Emily gets upset because she wants to stay longer. I think it's probably because Tara and I are really boring people and Emily has a lot of fun over there with her friends and teachers. =)

We all had a really, really nice time in Kennewick, visiting Tara's family and hanging out together, but Emily loves going to pre-school and always makes it a point to let everyone know precisely that.

P.S.- Just now Tara and Emily were talking with Megan & Kayley's mom, Julie, on the phone about our trip, and Emily could hear her cousins in the background laughing and playing. Emily tells Julie, "They must want to go to school!" I think Emily must equate "excitement" with "wanting to go to school". Thought it was kind of funny..
